The project planner is responsible for producing and maintaining the projects schedule. The project planner supports the project manager ensuring the projects plan, resource planning and related reports are specific, appropriate and accurate, suitable and efficient planning processes are in place, and projects activities are correctly accounted for.
The project planner is a critical member of the project team emphasising impacts on schedule baselines and dependencies. This role provides day-to-day contact and support to the project teams and stakeholders.

Technical responsibilities
- Produce and maintain detailed project schedule, create schedule baselines.
- Review WBS’s & Prepare Resource Plans to support Programme/IPT’s
- Sanity check and, when necessary, suggest corrective actions to extant schedules/timelines/resourcing plans.
- Produce reports for support of Senior Management progress meetings.
- Monitors progress against schedule and resourcing plan, manage/resolve critical schedule issues.
- Support on Project portfolio risk management, actions planning
- Contribute to PMO processes and procedures along with improvement initiatives
Organisational responsibilities
- Engage with all project functional teams to ensure good awareness of projects progression.
Essential qualifications and skills
- Advanced MS Project, Jira Planning tool, Primavera or similar
- Self-motivated and proactive
- Excellent analytical skills, critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Strong communication, interpersonal skills, attention to details, time management, Problem-solving and extremely resourceful
- Able to produce typical PMO reports, presentations as necessary
Desirable
- 2-3 years experience in a similar role
- Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
- Good understanding of New Product Development Cycle & State of Art Product delivery environment
- Understanding of financial management and impacts on programmes.
- Planning certifications & supporting education
- Willing to learnt & progress within PMO function, SATCOM industry
