In a recent statement, Prime Minister Rishi Sunak lauded Hanwha Phasor for its commitment to creating a new Space R&D hub in the UK, underscoring its significant contribution to the industry and the creation of new job opportunities.
Rishi Sunak made his statement during the state visit by the President of the Republic of Korea, Yoon Suk Yeol, to the United Kingdom that heralded a new era of deepened bilateral relations.
This historic event underlined both nations’ commitment to enhancing cooperation in technology, defence, and security, and set the stage for negotiations on an advanced trade deal. Highlighting the visit’s significance, Prime Minister Sunak announced a substantial £21 billion investment from South Korean businesses.
At Hanwha Phasor, we are proud of our commitment to our Cambridge facility, which will receive £18 million of investment by 2024. We aim to grow further in the United Kingdom, doubling our workforce by 2025 to provide more high-skilled jobs in a cutting-edge sector.
